In order to play Quake II, first you must have the game: Quake II CD.
Contact your local Software Stores to get this game now!
After you have owned a copy of original Quake II CD, install it on your computer.
A 25MB installation is sufficient if you are short on HD space, but
for better performance, 255MB or even 400MB installation is recommended.

For best and fastest performance, make sure you connect using your
Centrin Internet internet
account. If you don't have an account with Centrin yet, you can register online
to get one.

You must have a modem to connect to the internet and play. For better result,
a 28.8K or faster modem is recommended.

Next, after Quake II has been installed and running on your computer,
you must download v3.19 patch and v3.20 upgrade patch for Quake II in order to get into our server.
All you have to do is download and install this patch into your Quake II
directory:
Quake II Patch 3.19 (full): q2-319-x86-full.exe (11 MB)
Quake II Patch 3.20 (upgrade): q2-3.20-x86.exe (5 MB)

Now that you have downloaded all necessary patches for your Quake II, now
let's get quaked!!! Follow these instructions:

Launch your Quake II game.

From the Game menu, Choose MultiPlayer option. Click here for details.

Choose Player Setup. Change your name and character setting from this menu. Click here for details.
When finished, press Esc.

Choose Join Network Server. Click here for details.

You should now see available network server (CNT-Q2DM). Choose it and get ready for
the ultimate DEATH MATCH! This Death Match mode is included the High Scores mode to save your
High Scores on the server. Click here for details.

If you don't see the Network Server, click Refresh Server List. If the game still doesn't
detect the server, try waiting for another minute or two. Detecting sometimes takes a
little while.
